Accreditation Policies

EACCP accreditation policies complement the core accreditation criteria and the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. All accredited providers are expected to fully comply with the applicable policies throughout the duration of their accreditation status.

Policies

Governance and Oversight

EACCP maintains full oversight over its accreditation framework and reserves the right to update its requirements and policies to ensure alignment with evolving clinical, educational, and ethical standards.

Policy changes are communicated transparently to all stakeholders through official channels.

Transparency and Confidentiality

EACCP publicly shares only limited, non-confidential information about accredited providers (e.g., name, status, accreditation term).

All submitted materials and communications during the accreditation process are treated as confidential.

Accredited providers must not disclose proprietary elements of the accreditation process to third parties.

Use of Accreditation Marks

Accredited providers may use the official “EACCP Accredited Provider” mark only in accordance with the EACCP Branding and Usage Guidelines.

Misuse or unauthorized use of the mark may result in sanctions, including potential withdrawal of accreditation.

Accreditation Statement

All accredited educational activities must include the appropriate accreditation statement as provided by EACCP.

No modifications to the language are permitted without written approval.

Administrative Responsibilities

Accredited providers must submit accurate and complete year-end reports and pay all applicable fees by the published deadlines.

CME activity records must be retained for a minimum of 6 years.

Any changes in organizational structure, leadership, or contact details must be promptly reported to EACCP.

Content and Educational Standards

Accredited CME content must align with evidence-based medicine and current clinical standards.

Activities must not promote treatments that are scientifically unproven, unsafe, or unethical.

Enduring materials must maintain content validity throughout their availability.

Language and Communication

All official communications, documentation, and activity submissions must be in English.

The official language of the accreditation process and review is English.

Accreditation Fees

All fees associated with initial accreditation, reaccreditation, extensions, and progress reports are clearly outlined in the EACCP Fee Schedule and are subject to periodic updates.

Joint Providership

EACCP does not currently support joint providership models. Only the accredited provider may deliver educational activities under EACCP’s accreditation.

Legal and Ethical Responsibility

Accredited providers agree to waive claims against EACCP and its representatives arising from accreditation decisions made in accordance with EACCP procedures.

Any provider found engaging in unethical conduct or falsifying data may be subject to disciplinary actions, including revocation of accreditation.
