Compliance & Noncompliance

To promote consistency and transparency in accreditation decisions, EACCP shares examples of provider practices that illustrate compliance or noncompliance with our accreditation requirements. These examples are intended to support providers in understanding expectations and to encourage peer-to-peer learning across the CME community.

Note: The examples below are illustrative, not prescriptive. They do not represent a checklist of required actions. Compliance is evaluated based on the totality of evidence submitted by the provider during the accreditation or reaccreditation process.

How to Use These Examples

Contextual Learning: Apply the insights to your own CME planning, implementation, and evaluation processes

Gap Analysis: Compare your current practices against examples of compliance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Self-Assessment: Use as part of internal training or preparation for self-study, performance-in-practice review, and interviews.

Key Notes

These examples reflect the Core Accreditation Criteria, Standards for Integrity and Independence, and applicable policies.
Examples related to outdated standards (e.g., the retired Standards for Commercial Support) have been removed.
A downloadable PDF of selected examples will be made available through the EACCP.
