Decisions

At the end of the initial accreditation or reaccreditation process, EACCP will issue a formal accreditation decision to each applicant. This decision includes the accreditation status, duration of validity, and a summary of findings regarding compliance with EACCP standards.

Accreditation Outcomes

Each decision is based on a holistic evaluation of the physician’s compliance with the requirements throughout the accreditation cycle. The following outcomes may apply:

Accredited (Valid for 3 Years)

Granted to physicians who have completed the training and practical modules, submitted required documentation, and committed to monthly colposcopy reporting.

Not Accredited

Assigned to candidates who have not met core requirements during the accreditation process or failed to submit critical documentation.

Ineligible for Reaccreditation

Physicians who failed to maintain required monthly reporting must restart the full accreditation process.

Reaccredited

Granted only to physicians who fulfilled monthly case reporting for 36 months without unjustified gaps and who submitted a final portfolio for evaluation.

Compliance Status

Compliant	The physician has fulfilled all clinical, educational, and reporting obligations.
Non-Compliant	One or more core obligations have not been met.

Decision-Making Process

EACCP follows a tiered review process designed to ensure objectivity, fairness, and consistency:

Documentation Review

Submitted self-assessments, portfolios, and monthly reports are analyzed by the EACCP accreditation team for completeness and quality.

Expert Evaluation

A designated panel of experts examines submitted case documentation to verify diagnostic quality, adherence to clinical standards, and case diversity.

Verification of Practice Involvement

Confirmations of practice in accredited clinical centers and the use of validated protocols are reviewed as part of the file.

Final Decision

The final decision is issued in writing within 60 days of submission. It will include findings, accreditation status, next steps, and any additional requirements.

Progress Reports

If deficiencies are identified during the evaluation phase, physicians may be asked to submit a Progress Report within 30–60 days. This report must demonstrate:

Correction of the identified issues

Evidence of improvement in practice quality

Updated or supplementary documentation

Confidentiality
