Reaccreditation

EACCP reaccredits gynecologists for an additional 3-year period only if they have consistently met the monthly case submission requirements throughout the full duration of their accreditation. Reaccreditation confirms clinical engagement and sustained excellence in colposcopic practice and diagnostic reporting.

Reaccreditation Process

Eligibility Criteria:
Reaccreditation is granted exclusively to gynecologists who:
  • Have submitted monthly colposcopy case reports for 36 consecutive months

  • Have met all documentation and quality requirements

  • Have not had unjustified reporting gaps.

Steps in the Reaccreditation Process

Step 1

E-Learning Modules – Cover foundational topics and current guidelines

Step 2

In-Person Practicum – Live sessions with guided interpretation and simulation

Step 3

Portfolio Submission – Compile documented colposcopies and reflective cases for evaluation

Step 4

Review Panel Evaluation – A faculty-led panel assesses competence and portfolio quality

Step 5

Accreditation Decision – Awarded only upon full completion of education, practicum and clinical competency demonstration

Step 1

Notification – Six months prior to the expiration of the current accreditation term, physicians receive a formal notification regarding their eligibility to apply for reaccreditation.

Step 2

Confirmation of Intent – The physician must confirm their intent to seek reaccreditation by submitting the official Intent to Reaccredit form via email and reaffirming their commitment to EACCP’s standards and requirements.

Step 3

Compliance Review – EACCP will conduct an internal review to evaluate the continuity and timeliness of monthly submissions, the quality and clinical relevance of documented cases, and interaction with training centers or participation in professional development events (if applicable).

Step 4

Case Portfolio Submission – Applicants must submit a curated portfolio of at least 10 recent colposcopy cases (from the last 6 months), demonstrating clinical progression, diagnostic accuracy, and adherence to EACCP documentation standards.

Step 5

Expert Panel Review – Submitted cases will be evaluated by an expert panel appointed by EACCP. Detailed feedback may be provided, along with recommendations for ongoing improvement.

Step 6

Reaccreditation Decision – The reaccreditation decision will be communicated to the physician within 60 days of submitting the complete documentation set.

When Reaccreditation Is Not Granted

Reaccreditation will not be granted in the following situations:
  • Incomplete or missing monthly reports over the 3-year period

  • Submissions that do not meet required standards

  • Failure to respond to EACCP communications or document requests.

In these cases, the physician must reapply through the full accreditation process, with no shortcuts or exemptions.
